From Pristine Mountain Morgans, this gorgeous colt, Pristine Mountain Tephra, is everything you could ask for in a young horse! Very friendly personality, sound build, black feet, striking eyes, gentle and smart. He was born June 5th, 2026. Tephra is a registered purebred Morgan. He is sired from our smokey black stud, Raspberry Jake Walker (aka Storm), and the dam is our buckskin mare, Cedar Lane Linda (aka Rain). Storm has a good solid build, excellent feet, western working bloodlines, and has been smart and easy to train. Rain is a beautiful mare, very good keeper, and was also easy to train to ride. All of our horses spend the spring, summer and falls out on open range in the mountains, so our foals are well accustomed to creeks, swamps, thick bush country, and surviving on the wild grasses. Tephra has been haltered on several occasions, and has had some halter training for leading but will get more training in the next few weeks, or before he gets sold and taken. He has had his feet picked up too and is already good with that, and I’ll continue handling him. Tephra has been loaded in a trailer, and has trailered long distance.
