About Bizi Transport

Bizi Transport is an established transportation company specializing in bulk commodities, oilfield transportation, and industrial hauling throughout Western Canada and beyond.

We are currently seeking an experienced Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team.
This position involves coordinating specialized trucking operations, including sulphur, chemical, and other bulk commodity transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing driver assignments, coordinating customer requirements, monitoring daily operations, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of equipment and loads.
We are looking for someone who is organized, adaptable, an effective communicator, and capable of making sound decisions in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch operations, including driver assignments, load scheduling, and equipment availability.
• Communicate regularly with company drivers, owner-operators, customers, field supervisors, and operations personnel.
• Monitor shipments and respond proactively to delays, equipment breakdowns, scheduling conflicts, and changing customer requirements.
• Coordinate loading and delivery schedules across multiple customers and locations.
• Monitor driver availability, hours of service, and scheduling requirements.
• Ensure drivers receive accurate load instructions, customer requirements, and site-specific information.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, load information, and operational updates.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime and service disruptions.
• Provide thorough shift handovers and communicate outstanding operational matters.
• Support compliance with company safety procedures, transportation regulations, and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous dispatch or logistics coordination experience in the trucking or transportation industry is required.
• Experience in oilfield transportation, bulk commodities, sulphur, chemical hauling, or other specialized trucking operations is considered a strong asset.
• Good understanding of commercial trucking operations, driver scheduling, and hours-of-service regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain effective under pressure.
• Comfortable using dispatch software, Microsoft Office, and electronic communication systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
• Experience coordinating owner-operators and third-party carriers is an asset.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on experience.
