About Hub City Hauling Ltd.

Operating as the "logistical heartbeat" of the Peace Region, we offer direct transport and lease operator solutions focused on heavy industrial, energy sector, and natural resource hauling. Our core operational focus centers on highway power units delivering critical energy logistics—including Super-B frac sand hauling and crude oil tanker transport.
Because we are a growing startup backed by strong commercial leadership, we operate with a sharp focus on compliance, uptime, asset reliability, and professional excellence. We are seeking an experienced, self-sufficient Class 1 Driver who takes pride in operating heavy equipment and wants to grow with us.
Role Summary

As an early hire in a dynamic startup, you will be a vital face of Hub City Hauling Ltd. You will handle daily pre-trip inspections, manage fluid/bulk load transfers, navigate both high-volume highway routes and off-road lease sites, and operate with complete independence.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate Class 1 highway tractors equipped with Super-B trailers (frac sand) and crude oil tankers.
Perform loading, offloading, and fluid management operations following strict environmental and energy-sector safety protocols.
Execute daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring maximum uptime and reporting maintenance requirements promptly.
Navigate diverse conditions safely, including highway routes, resource roads, lease roads, and active fluid/wellsite locations in Peace Region winter conditions.
Ensure strict adherence to load weights, axle margins, hours of service, WCB standards, and energy sector compliance (ComplyWorks).
Maintain accurate digital logs, bills of lading, Dangerous Goods (TDG) paperwork, and run tickets with exceptional detail.
Qualifications & Requirements
Licensing: Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement.
Experience: Proven experience driving highway tractors, specifically with Super-B configurations and fluid tankers (crude oil/production fluids).
Driver’s Abstract: Clean 5-year commercial driver’s abstract required (must be submitted with application).
Safety & Off-Road Knowledge: In-depth, practical knowledge of highway driving safety as well as off-road lease/resource road protocols (radio callouts, chaining up, and site safety management).
Certifications: Active energy-sector safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid, TDG, and CSTS/BSO.
Mindset: Highly self-sufficient, proactive, and capable of operating independently without direct supervision in high-demand environments.
Local Residency: Must reside in or around Grande Prairie, AB, with strong familiarity with local energy corridors and regional road conditions.
What We Offer
Ground-Floor Opportunity: Join an ambitious, growth-oriented startup where your performance directly impacts team growth and operational success.
Home-Base Stability: Regional routes out of Grande Prairie that keep you grounded in the local community.
Professional Leadership: Work with leadership dedicated to safety, financial reliability, top-tier compliance, and proper equipment maintenance.
How to Apply
