Oshkagoojin Indigenous Theatre for Youth (OITY) and Making Treaty 7 Cultural Society, in conjunction with The Confluence, are excited to offer FREE Indigenous Summer Theatre Workshops for Indigenous youth in Calgary!

Come spend the day creating, playing, telling stories, and exploring theatre with us!

Who: Indigenous youth ages 8–17
When: Sunday, August 16 and Monday, August 17
Time: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM each day
Location: The Holy Gathering Place at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland

Cost: FREE
Spaces: Limited to 20 participants

Youth are welcome to attend one or both workshop days. Each day is designed as a stand-alone experience.

Ages 8–12: Stories to Play in the City... and the Mountains

Youth will explore Indigenous storytelling through theatre games, movement, masks, creativity, imagination, and other fun theatre activities.

Ages 13–17: Storytelling Writing Lab

Youth will work together to create their own stories, develop characters, and explore creative writing through Indigenous storytelling and theatre.

Snacks will be provided. Please bring a lunch and water bottle.
