Personal Assistant for Woman with Physical Diverse Ability

Start Date: 15th July, 2026
Wage: $30/hour.
Schedule: 16 hours per week. Wednesdays and Thursdays 5pm-9pm, Fridays 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities:
Day-to-day tasks such as reading aloud and scribing, assisting with communication including emails, messages, texts, etc., accompanying myself to appointments and/or events (using the city bus or Handy Dart), assisting in eating, personal care, light tidying and housekeeping and other tasks as they arise. I write articles and short stories, so ability to scribe and write well in English is very important. I am involved in my church community and like to go to functions occasionally. I enjoy being out and about in the community and attending special events and require some assistance in maneuvering through those spaces!
Requirements:
• Ability to push and maneuver a wheelchair.
• Excellent communication skills in English is a priority in this position. (English as a first language is preferred)
• Basic understanding of technology such as MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media.
• Must be comfortable advocating for me and assisting me with communication.
• Experience working with persons with physically diverse abilities
• Criminal record check for vulnerable persons.
• Reliable vehicle due to location.
