About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to contribute to a growing organization while gaining exposure to a broad range of human resources functions.
In this role, you will support the delivery of HR programs and services across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, training coordination, and HR program support. You will work closely with employees, managers, and external service providers to help ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives.

What You Will Be Working On
• Coordinate the onboarding process for all new employees, interns, and contract staff, including preparation of employment documentation and orientation materials.
• Support recruitment activities by identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, and by preparing and posting job advertisements, collecting and screening applications, and coordinating candidate communications and interviews.
• Review candidate pools and assist in arranging interviews and participating in selection processes and hiring logistics.
• Notify candidates of recruitment outcomes and assist in the preparation of employment offers and related documentation.
• Administer employee benefit plans, determine eligibility for entitlements, and coordinate enrollment and ongoing updates.
• Support managers and employees by providing information and advice on HR policies, procedures, and terms and conditions of employment, and by responding to workforce-related inquiries.
• Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of HR programs, projects, and organizational initiatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate employee training sessions, and support performance management and employee development processes.
• Promote a positive employee experience and inclusive workplace culture; support employee consultation and serve as a point of contact for workforce-related matters.
• Develop and implement HR-related projects and participate as a team member on special projects as needed.
• Collaborate, communicate, facilitate, and/or present organizational HR programs.
• Research, prepare, and submit applications for education, workplace, and co-operative student grant programs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR databases, and documentation (e.g., employment contracts, policies, onboarding materials).
• Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure best practices and compliance with applicable legislation.
• Liaise with external partners (e.g., benefits providers, vendors, training providers) to ensure effective service delivery and compliance.
• Maintain and support the HR Information System (HRIS), including system training, reporting, and data integrity.

What We Are Looking For
• Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in human resources, recruitment coordination, or employee relations support
• Working knowledge of Canadian employment standards and HR best practices
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Experience maintaining confidential records and handling sensitive information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR Information Systems (HRIS)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within a team environment
• CPHR designation or progress toward designation is considered an asset

Compensation & Benefits
The offered salary for this position is $70,000 per year, based on a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
