Job Description / Summary
We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our team. You will be responsible for applying tape and finishing compounds to drywall seams, corners, and fastener heads to create smooth, high-quality surfaces ready for painting. You must have an eye for detail and the ability to produce a seamless finish.
Key Responsibilities
Tape, mud, and sand drywall seams and joints to a [Level 4/Level 5] finish.
Apply multiple coats of compound and feather edges smoothly.
Install metal corner beads, trim, and reinforce joints with tape.
Ensure all surfaces are clean and free of imperfections before finishing.
Mix compound to proper consistency.
Work efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols and site rules.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience is preferred but not required.
Proficient in using hand tools (knives, trowels) and automated equipment (e.g., bazooka, flat boxes).
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders/scaffolding, and perform repetitive arm movements.
Knowledge of drywall materials and finishing techniques.
Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
