Now ready to move into her new forever home, meet JP!

JP is a stunning champagne type female ball python. She is roughly 8 years old and went through a period of non handling, so is taking a bit more work to get comfortable with being removed from her tank. JP started out pretty roughly in life, living in a cold basement being abused, underfed and not touched. Her previous owner took on JP for two years but was unable to maintain handling as much due to time constraints and thus JP is very alert when being removed. She has not shown any aggressive signs but does think the enclosure opening means food. Once she has been removed she is very relaxed and loves to explore. She is a THICK girl and needs to have her diet maintained for her own health. We have helped her lose a little weight but she has a way to go still. She needs someone with confidence who is not going to be afraid to open her enclosure and remove her. JP needs a ton of space, and we are requiring a minimum of 4 feet in length for this. Any smaller and she nose rubs herself raw. She managed to show us this a several weeks into her stay, her nose has been healing nicely but this will just take time to finish. We caught the rubbing before she managed to severely damage herself.

JP is eating once a month on a F/T small rat to encourage her to lose some weight as well as routine exercise. Once she has managed to gain a more proper weight she can go to a bi weekly small rat or a medium monthly rat. We are happy to help guide you with this process as time passes. JP does adore her food though, and will have no issues with eating when she is offered. JP does not come with an enclosure and one will need to be provided for her. She will require multiple hides, a large sized water dish, and all kinds of fun things for her to explore and climb over. She will need regulated heating as well as proper humidity. She will need appropriate belly heat regulated with a thermometer and regulator. If EXTENSIVE research is done and shown in the application, we may allow alternative heat sources however if you REFUSE to use a regulator we REFUSE to adopt to you. JP's adoption fee is $75.00.

In order to take JP home, proof of proper enclosure is required. Please respond to this ad and we will return the proper adoption forms and information to you. If you are unwilling to fill out our forms, please do not bother to reply.

We are located in Drayton Valley and while we encourage pick up we do offer delivery (once the adoption has been processed and approved) with a fee based on mileage and current gas prices. We require payment in full prior to leaving. All documentation must be filled out prior to anything to protect both parties and our animals.
