Posting Ads

Click "Post Ad" in the top menu, select a category, fill in your listing details, add photos, and submit. Your ad will appear on the site after review - usually within a few hours.

Yes! Posting ads on OKZ.ca is completely free. There are no listing fees, no commissions, and no hidden charges.

Ads are active for 60 days from the posting date. You will receive an email notification 7 days before your ad expires, and you can relist it at any time.

You can add up to 10 photos per ad. We accept JPEG, PNG, and WebP formats up to 5 MB each. High-quality photos help your ad get more responses.

Ads may be rejected if they violate our posting guidelines - for example, prohibited items, misleading descriptions, or spam. You will receive an email explaining the reason. Please review our Terms of Service and repost with the necessary corrections.

Yes. Go to My Listings in your dashboard, find the ad, and click Edit. Note that editing a live ad may require re-approval if major changes are made.

Buying & Selling

Click "Contact Seller" on the ad page to send a message through our secure messaging system. You will need a free account to message sellers.

No. OKZ.ca is a classifieds platform - all transactions are arranged directly between buyers and sellers. We recommend meeting in a safe public place and using secure payment methods.

We recommend cash for local in-person transactions, or Interac e-Transfer for trusted contacts. Be wary of wire transfers, cryptocurrency, or overpayment scams. Never send money before receiving the item.

Click the "Report" button on any ad page. Our moderation team will review the report and take action within 24 hours.

Account & Profile

No, you can browse all ads without an account. However, you will need a free account to post ads, message sellers, or save favourites.

Click "Sign Up" in the top-right corner, enter your name, email, and password, then verify your email address. The whole process takes less than a minute.

Click "Login", then "Forgot Password". Enter your registered email address and we'll send you a password reset link. The link expires after 24 hours.

No. Each person may have only one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in all accounts being banned.

Go to My Profile > Account Settings and click "Delete Account". This action is permanent and will remove all your ads, messages, and data.

Safety Tips

Always meet in a well-lit public place (coffee shop, mall, police station parking lot). Bring a friend if possible. Trust your instincts - if something feels off, walk away.

Watch for: prices that are too good to be true, sellers who won't meet in person, requests for wire transfer or gift cards, overpayment scams, and anyone claiming to ship to you "for free." When in doubt, don't proceed.

Report the listing on OKZ.ca immediately, contact your local police, and report the fraud to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at antifraudcentre.ca or 1-888-495-8501.
