Sad to make this post, but I no longer have the time for my pet chinchillas because of university. They are a proven pair of chinchillas who i keep as pets. They have about 2 litters a year and the liters range from 1-2 babies.
Chinny, the mosiac color is the mom. She is 4 years old. She is very smart and understands her own name. She loves grape, apple, milet and goji berries as treats. She is used to eating grass, kale and dandelions and has apple/hazelnut chewing sticks. Rex, the black velvet color is the dad. He is 3 years old and also knows his name. He is very food motivated and enjoys the same treats as chinny the same greens.
They are both on oxbow chinchilla food and oxbow Timothy hay. Both are trained to return to their cage. They are very smart and I keep them as pets. I am looking for a good home that would keep them as pets, casual breeding is okay too but not as a breeding-only animal.
