For sale is an original oil painting depicting a tugboat docked at a wooden dock. Signed “G. A. Collins”, dated 1983. This painting captures a traditional Great Lakes fish tug, a working vessel type that became essential to commercial fishing operations from the late 19th through mid-20th century. These sturdy boats were designed to withstand harsh lake conditions while hauling nets and transporting catches. The scene depicts a peaceful moment at a Canadian lakeside dock, with the vessel's characteristic white hull with coloured trim and functional design clearly visible.

Paintings of working vessels like fish tugs appeal to maritime history enthusiasts, collectors of nautical art, and those with connections to Great Lakes fishing communities. Such works are valued for their documentary quality and nostalgic representation of a vanishing way of life. Collectors interested in regional maritime history, folk art depicting working boats, and Canadian or American lakeside scenes find these paintings particularly meaningful as they preserve the memory of an important industry and the hardworking vessels that sustained it.
