Licensed Architect – Project-Based Contract
Description
JussConstruct is seeking a qualified, Ontario-licensed Architect to collaborate with our growing luxury prefab and modular residential construction business.
We are looking for an experienced professional who can support our residential projects through architectural planning, design development, floor plans, elevations, and construction drawing preparation.
This is a flexible, project-based independent contractor opportunity, with compensation provided for each successfully commissioned project.
Compensation
CA$1,500–$3,000 per project
- Fixed payment per assigned project.
- Compensation depends on project size, complexity, and scope of work.
- Project fees are agreed upon before work begins.
- Payment terms are established in the project agreement.
- Opportunity for ongoing project assignments as our business expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare professional architectural drawings for luxury residential prefab and modular homes.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and architectural details.
- Review and adapt existing residential designs.
- Prepare drawings and documentation appropriate to the agreed project scope.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable Ontario Building Code requirements and relevant municipal regulations.
- Collaborate with the JussConstruct team throughout the design and project development process.
- Provide professional architectural oversight and applicable certification or sealing where required.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Must hold an active licence with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).
- Must be legally authorized to practise architecture in Ontario.
- Demonstrated experience in residential architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code and residential construction requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, or comparable architectural software.
- A portfolio of completed residential architectural projects.
- Ability to work independently and manage project deadlines.
**Please note:** An active Ontario architectural licence is mandatory. Applicants without an OAA licence will not be considered.
