Craigmore Farm is the sole recognized breeder of the ultimate 5 star eating meat lamb in North America. Our Wagyu (trademark) Lambs are a hybrid F1/F2 cross of an Australian White Terminal sire and Rideau Arcott/Romanov Ewes.
Test studies done in partnership with the Bioscience Division of the University of Guelph
presented and published with the prestigious American Veterinary Association showed the overall meat quality of our Wagyu lambs to be superior to the meat quality of full blood Australian White sheep! Plus, the hybrid cross retains its ability to lamb every 8 months, while increasing average lambing rates from 1.75 for full blood Australian White ewes to 2.5 lambs for the F1 cross. Greater yield and higher meat quality means greater revenue!
