J&K Cuisine is a family-run Jamaican and Caribbean restaurant on Weber Street East in Kitchener. We're known for our jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat and patties, and we also cater events of every size. We're hiring TWO friendly, dependable people, one FULL-TIME and one PART-TIME, to be the face of the restaurant at our front counter.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Greet every customer warmly and make them feel welcome
- Take orders in person and over the phone, and handle payments accurately
- Answer questions about the menu, catering and pickup times
- Handle complaints or mix-ups calmly and make things right
- Package takeout orders and keep the front area clean and tidy
- Work closely with the kitchen team so orders go out on time

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous customer service, retail or restaurant experience is an asset
- A positive attitude, patience, and genuinely enjoying helping people
- Clear communication in English
- Reliable and on time
- Flexible availability. We'll talk through shifts at the interview
- Comfortable in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of Caribbean food is a bonus, but not required. We'll teach you!

WHAT WE OFFER
- $17.95 to $19 per hour, depending on experience
- Free lunch on shift for the full-time position
