Platinum Freight Group Ltd is a busy trucking company based on Highway 50 and Castlemore rd. ON. We are currently looking for skilled and reliable diesel mechanic to join our growing team, We work exclusively on our equipment.

Job responsibilities include:
1. Perform brake, annual safety, and PM inspections.
2. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and any other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working conditions.
3. Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts/ torque according to specification and screws and reassemble equipment as it is.
4. Maintain clean and safe work environment.
5. Maintain work area appearance and safety.
6. Maintain tools provided and to keep them in order after use.
7. Perform routine maintenance such as oil change, battery prevention, air check in fleet depending on weather conditions and lubricate equipment.

Qualifications:
1. Valid Driver's license.
2. Should have knowledge on engine, clutch and DEF related issues in truck.
3. Should have knowledge in inspecting Volvo trucks as we only have Volvo equipment with 2 Kenworth trucks.
4. Should have experience in welding as its considered as strong asset.
5. Strong working knowledge of heavy equipment systems and safe repair procedures.
