Hand Blown Art Glass vase 5' tall, 4' wide
Description
VINTAGE ART GLASS IDENTIFICATION RECORD
Take notice mine has a twist to verticle grooves on the bowl. Some online look like this one but straight up and down looking like another brand and not as heavy, or thick as this one.
• Item Type: Hand-Blown Ribbed Ruffled Trouxinha (Little Bag) / Handkerchief Vase
• Origin: Murano, Venice, Italy
• Period: Mid-to-Late 20th Century (c. 1960s–1980s)
• Color / Finish: Solid Emerald Green; High-Clarity Optical Lead Formulation
• Dimensions: Approximately 5.0" Tall × 4.0" Wide
• Weight: 2.4 lbs (High-Density Artisan Mass)
Artisan Verification Markers:
1. Base: Circular perimeter finished via mechanical wheel-grinding showing directional fine abrasive grit lines.
2. Pontil Scar: Center of base features an unground, raw ruptured-bubble indentation (hollow pinhole crater) created when snapped from the iron blowing rod.
3. Inclusions: Linear filament cords ("black thread" slag strands) and branching "Y" tool-crease markers embedded deep within the 1-inch transition wall between the smooth neck and the flared "pie-crust" rim.
4. Craftsmanship: Flawless cold-working finish at the constriction neck point without residual surface jack marks.
• Estimated Market Value (2026): $65.00 – $110.00 USD ($90.00 – $150.00 CAD)
The teal colour tends to show more under bright light, other wise the top is dark like the bowl shows beneath the neck of the vase.
This is bathroom lighting of led lights.
Silk flowers don't come with it.
