Duties
Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport items between locations. 3 to 5 experience driving 3 & 5 Ton trucks is required.
Assist with wrapping & preparing items to be loaded, loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and equipment using proper lifting techniques and equipment. 3 to 5 years experience is required.
Use effective communication skills to coordinate with customers and team members throughout the moving process. This is a very important part of the position so all candidates applying must have excellent communication skills.
Ensure all items are secured properly during transit to prevent damage or loss.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and work area at all times.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness before each shift
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions, managing expectations, and ensuring satisfaction during the move
Qualifications
Proven experience in the moving industry is required. 3 to 5 years experience preferred. A minimum of 3 past/current employee references is required.
Valid driver’s license required for driving responsibilities. Drivers are required to have a clean drivers abstract free of traffic tickets "at fault" insurance claims.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
Physical stamina to stand, lift, carry, and move heavy objects repeatedly
Prior moving experience is required; willingness to learn is essential.
Prior packing experience is required as all items have to be packed in a safe and professional way to ensure there is no damage to customers belongings and/or property.
