Copper mineral claim application for sale – Cranbrook, BC
Description
Jolly Molly (MINFILE 082GNW057): one BC mineral claim application, title number 1138425, Fort Steele Mining Division. It was applied for on 2 September 2026 and is not yet an issued title. 208.89 hectares (10 cells).
Location: headwaters of Tanglefoot Creek, southeast of Mount Haley in the Hughes Range, about 33 km northeast of Cranbrook (straight line).
Approx. 49.7167, -115.4291
Access: the Tanglefoot Creek road off the Bull River road, then a steep 4x4 spur to about 2,000 m. The old showings are about 1 km west of the top of that grade. A 2024 report recommended a helicopter camp to properly cover the bowl.
Geology: polymetallic veins (copper, zinc, lead, silver, tungsten, molybdenum) in Jubilee Formation marble cut by a syenite dike, with a shear along the bedding. The dump rock is pyrrhotite with pyrite, chalcopyrite and molybdenite. At least four short adits and a small mill site date from about 1899. In 2024, mineralized boulders were found below a bowl in the south part of the title. That bowl has no documented sampling and has not been walked. The historic results are chips, grabs and talus only. A 1979 property exam recommended no further work, and the 2024 visit did not repeat the old trench results. There is no recorded production, no drill hole with assays on the title and no resource. The seller has not walked the adits or taken new samples.
Price and terms: $55,000 CAD, 100%, outright sale, no royalty. The transfer should not complete until the title shows as a recorded claim on Mineral Titles Online. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit (Square invoice) is due within 24 hours, and the balance goes by wire within 3 business days. The buyer pays government fees. Once the title is issued, the estimated cost to keep it is about $2,089 a year (BC cash in lieu, years 1–2).
Mineral rights only. BC Free Miner Certificate needed. Any work needs permits and First Nations consultation.
Warning — This property is offered for mining purposes only and ownership of the title to it does not include ownership of the surface rights or the right to use the surface for residential or recreational purposes.
