YOUR DOG DESERVES MORE THAN AN ORDINARY KENNEL!
Going on holiday? Travelling for work? Moving? Need reliable care for your puppy, adult dog or senior companion?

At K9 Joe’s, your dog becomes part of our family while you are away!

We deliberately accommodate only a small number of dogs at a time, allowing us to provide a more personalized, home-style experience with companionship, exercise, enrichment and plenty of TLC.

⭐ Voted Best Dog Boarding in Calgary
⭐ Recommended by W. Brett Wilson of Dragons’ Den
⭐ Professional dog trainer with extensive Search and Rescue K9 instructor experience
⭐ Home-style boarding, daycare, grooming and optional training
⭐ Flexible drop-off, pick-up and transportation arrangements

We are not a high-volume, conventional kennel. We believe every dog deserves individualized attention, a comfortable environment and thoughtful care.

1. A HOME AWAY FROM HOME
While you are away, your beloved companion can enjoy:

Home-and-family environment: companionship and personal attention rather than a conventional kennel setting.

Daily outdoor adventures: several walks and Dog Jogs in a huge park right next to us.

Supervised play: socialization and playtime with trusted dogs, where suitable.

Room to move: two huge yards with six-foot-high fences.

Comfort indoors: central air conditioning and Triple HEPA air filtration for hot or smoky days.

Familiar routines: feeding with your dog's usual food and treats.

Peace of mind: daily photo and video updates of your dog's adventures.

Extra TLC: optional grooming, massages, Reiki and other spa services.

We welcome dogs of different breeds, sizes and ages, including puppies, adults, seniors and intact dogs. Dogs requiring more individualized care or having behavioural challenges can be discussed with us in advance to determine suitability and appropriate arrangements.

Your dog is an individual, not just another booking. We aim to make every stay as comfortable, enriching and reassuring as possible.

❤️ 2. PERSONALIZED CARE, NOT A ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL APPROACH
We understand that leaving your dog can be difficult, particularly if your companion is young, older, sensitive, energetic or accustomed to having people around.

We take the time to consider each dog's needs, routines, temperament and circumstances.

Our home-style boarding experience can include:

Individual attention and companionship.

Daily walks, exercise and enrichment.

Supervised interactions with compatible, trusted dogs.

Rest and downtime between activities.

Familiar food and treats supplied according to your instructions.

Photo and video updates to help you stay connected.

We keep our numbers small by design. Advance booking is strongly recommended, especially during holidays and peak travel periods.

3. BOARDING WITH PROFESSIONAL DOG TRAINING
Would you like your dog to receive more than care while you are away?

K9 Joe is a professional European dog trainer with extensive Search and Rescue K9 instructor experience. We offer optional individualized training during boarding, subject to assessment, suitability and the agreed program.

Training options include:

Puppy foundations and Puppy Kindergarten.

Basic and advanced obedience.

Recall and responsiveness.

Loose-leash walking and leash manners.

Calm behaviour, engagement and impulse control.

Socialization and confidence-building.

Behavioural support for barking, pulling, jumping and reactivity.

Doggy Boot Camp and more intensive one-on-one training.

We also offer private training at your home or at our licensed Training Academy facility.

Our approach focuses on Pack Structure, Leadership, Relationship, Communication, Socialization, and Mental and Physical Exercise. We work to help dogs and their families develop better communication, confidence and cooperation.

Boarding and training can be combined in a customized program to suit your dog's needs and your family's goals.

4. THE DOGGY RESORT & SPA EXPERIENCE
Why not give your furry family member a little extra pampering during their stay?

Optional services include:

Doggy Massages.

Reiki.

Music Therapy.

Warm coconut-oil foot rubs after walks and Dog Jogs.

Grooming, bathing and coat care.

Supervised and monitored Doggy Pool Parties on hot days.

For senior dogs or dogs with specific comfort needs, we can discuss suitable arrangements and coordinate with your veterinarian where appropriate.

5. CONVENIENT PICK-UP & DELIVERY

6. DOGGY DAYCARE, DOG WALKING & PET SITTING
Need care during the day rather than overnight?

We also offer:
