About the Position

We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our masonry crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving and distributing bricks, blocks, stone, mortar, and other masonry materials to support daily construction operations.

This position requires someone who can work outdoors, operate equipment safely on active construction sites, and work closely with bricklayers and other crew members to keep projects running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load, unload, transport, and distribute masonry materials on construction sites.
• Deliver bricks, concrete blocks, stone, mortar, and other supplies to designated work areas.
• Load and unload delivery trucks and organize materials for efficient access by the masonry crew.
• Assist with material handling and site preparation as required.
• Inspect the forklift and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Maintain an organized worksite and ensure materials are stored safely.
• Communicate with crew members, supervisors, and delivery drivers to coordinate material requirements.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Perform other general labour duties related to masonry operations when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated operating experience.
• Previous experience on construction sites or with masonry materials is an asset.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift on uneven ground and in outdoor conditions.
• Knowledge of construction site safety procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physically capable of assisting with material handling and general labour duties as required.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Kitchener, Brantford, and Cambridge area.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a team.
