We’re looking for a dependable, energetic respite support worker to spend time with a non-verbal autistic young adult and support him with getting out of the house and staying active.

What the role involves

Going for walks and supporting daily movement

In warmer months, visiting parks and other outdoor spaces

In winter, visiting malls or other warm, safe indoor places

Providing attentive supervision and support throughout outings

Hours vary, averaging around 4–5 hours per day. Pay is $18.50 per hour, plus $15 per day toward fuel.

We’re looking for someone who

Has respite or support experience; experience with non-verbal young adults or children is preferred

Brings a positive attitude, patience, and energy

Has a reliable vehicle
