Maya, AI by phone: interpreting, language sessions and practice in 624 languages (83 fluently, 541 in beta). 15-minute sessions from $4.99 CAD in a 20-pack, first session free. Text 587-330-1228.

Fifteen minutes with Maya, in 624 languages. Interpret, learn, or practise — you decide.

How it works: text Maya what you want ("ordering dinner in Portuguese", "interpret Punjabi", "practise my French before Québec") and she calls you back for a 15-minute session built on exactly that. No app, no course you'll abandon. For interpreting, put her on speaker: she interprets both ways, every word, nothing added, and texts both of you the transcript afterwards (interpreting runs in her 83 fluent languages).

624 languages: 83 fluently with a native-grade accent, 541 in beta, including 59 Indigenous languages of Canada and 19 classical languages (Latin, Ancient Greek, Sanskrit, Old Norse). In beta it is the same Maya and the same voice; her pronunciation in that language is still being refined, so she says so at the start and flags anything she isn't sure of.

Maya is AI, and she tells you so first. She is not a certified interpreter: the right tool for a shop counter, a viewing, a clinic front desk or a family phone call, not for a courtroom. Compare: human tutors $40–80/hr; human interpreters $80–120/hr, booked days ahead.

Pricing in Canadian dollars, paid by Interac e-Transfer (no card, no subscription): the first session is free (10 minutes); after that $9.95 single, $6.24 each in an 8-pack, or from $4.99 each in a 20-pack. One credit is one session, whatever you use it for. Canada only for now.
