For the last 25 years, Metro College of Technology has been offering MicroStation training courses to the public. This practical software course has helped numerous students to obtain a position in the civil engineering field. Some of the students have advanced into senior positions or management positions. We are proud of their achievements.

This has been motivating the college to continue to offer this software course to prospective students to assist them in acquiring a professional position or expediting their career development in the civil engineering industry. Based on the feedback from previous students and employers, we have revolutionized this course to develop students’ capability as designers/technologists.

This MicroStation course consists of two sections:
(1) Fundamentals of MicroStation
(2) Advanced MicroStation with Mini-Project

In Fundamentals, students will learn the most important topics that will prepare students with the ability to apply the basic functions this software package offers and their ability to learn the advanced topics.

In Advanced MicroStation with Project, students will learn the most often used advanced skills. The advanced topics will prepare students' ability to apply the most effective tools available in this software package. The project integrated in the advanced part of the software package will offer a great opportunity for students to apply the fundamental and advanced features of the software in a real-life project. You will work on the project with an AI assistant so that you can be much more productive in your workplace.

Upon successful completion of this course package, you will be very confident in taking the challenges from your job interviews and from live design projects in your job.

We have scheduled to start a new MicroStation class on October 24, 2026. This is a Saturday class running from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for 10 weeks

Our instructor has more than 20 years of experience as a senior civil designer. He also has a strong passion and teaching skills to train you to become a competitive engineering designer/technologist. This will prepare your way to a professional engineer further if you are ambitious.
