For sale is a vintage “Buddy L Jr.” pressed steel toy tow truck. Buddy L, founded in 1910 by Fred Lundahl, became one of America's most iconic toy manufacturers, particularly renowned for their heavy-duty pressed steel trucks produced from the 1920s through the 1960s. The company's toys were built to withstand rough play, with many surviving decades in excellent condition. This tow truck represents Buddy L's mid-20th century production era, when the company transitioned from handcrafted steel toys to more mass-produced models while maintaining their reputation for durability.

Buddy L toys are highly sought after by vintage toy collectors, particularly those specializing in American-made pressed steel vehicles. These trucks appeal to collectors for their nostalgic value, robust construction, and historical significance in American toy manufacturing. The presence of the original box significantly increases both collectibility and value, as many boxes were discarded during the toys' active play years. Collectors prize these items for display in vintage toy collections, Americana collections, and automotive memorabilia displays.
