Experienced Interior Painter / Subcontractor Wanted — Toronto
Description
Good Neighbour Painting Co. is looking for an experienced, reliable interior painter or small painting crew for residential projects across Toronto.
We handle customer inquiries, quoting, customer agreements, and paint ordering. You bring the tools, transportation, and experience to complete the agreed work professionally.
THE WORK
- Interior painting in condos, apartments, and houses.
- Protecting floors, furniture, and surrounding surfaces.
- Filling minor holes, sanding, and priming as required.
- Applying paint with clean cutting-in and consistent coverage.
- Completing any ceilings, trim, doors, or repairs included in the agreed scope.
- Keeping the site tidy, providing progress updates, and completing a final walkthrough.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven residential painting experience; three or more years preferred.
- Ability to complete projects independently and maintain a professional relationship with homeowners.
- Your own professional tools and reliable transportation.
- Current commercial general liability insurance.
- WSIB documentation where applicable.
- Recent project photos and references.
- Accurate scope review and reliable availability.
PAY AND ARRANGEMENT
Project-based subcontract work, with the scope and labour payment agreed before each job.
Our planning budget is approximately $40-$50 per estimated painter-hour equivalent, depending on experience, scope, and efficiency. This is a basis for agreeing project prices, rather than a guaranteed hourly wage.
We supply the agreed paint and application materials. Additional work must be approved and priced before proceeding.
We are starting with individual projects and cannot guarantee a weekly volume of work. The first project will be a paid trial, with the opportunity to become an ongoing painting partner.
TO APPLY
Email goodneighbourpainting@gmail.com with your name, phone number, service area, experience, recent painting photos and references, insurance and applicable WSIB status, whether you work alone or with a crew, availability, and preferred project or day rates.
