Phillips Bros Excavating, a family owned and operated company, has been proudly serving the construction industry for over 30 years. We are currently seeking a Class 1 Float Driver who would be responsible for safely operating a commercial truck and trailer to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely transport heavy equipment to and from job sites
- Load, secure, and unload equipment properly
- Complete pre-trip inspections and daily log requirements
- Ensure equipment is moved in compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the truck and trailer
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and other drivers.

Requirements:

- Class 1 commercial driver's license in good standing
- Experience in hauling heavy equipment
- Must have understanding of construction site protocols, rules and code of conduct
- Ability to lift and secure loads as required
- Knowledge of truck maintenance and inspection procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of truck and trailers
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors and other drivers
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
- Experience in civil construction would be considered an asset.
