General Aire has been leading the HVAC world for humidity for years and the 1042 is the work horse of their line-up. This humidifier is good for home sizes up to 2,800 sq ft. It is a highly efficient flow-through unit that delivers 17 GPD@120°F. Easily serviced and evaporator pads are readily accessible. What makes the 1042 the best on the market is the simple but sturdy design and the antibacterial soap the evaporator pad has. Other brands just cannot compete. The flow through design helps reduce cleaning intervals. If you already have a 1042 and want some spare parts, this is a great deal. The solenoid alone retails for over $70.00.
