Job Description

Solify is hiring a Designated Master Electrician (DME) to join our growing solar and electrical operations team.

We are specifically seeking an experienced electrical professional who holds a valid Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Licence AND is qualified/licensed as a Master Electrician in Ontario.

The successful candidate will have the qualifications required to serve as Solify’s Designated Master Electrician (DME) and will play an important role in overseeing electrical work, maintaining compliance, and supporting our growing residential and commercial solar projects.

Qualifications

Valid Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Licence
Valid Ontario Master Electrician Licence
Must be eligible and willing to act as Solify’s Designated Master Electrician (DME)
Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and ESA requirements
Experience with residential and/or commercial electrical systems
Solar/PV installation experience is a strong asset
Experience supervising or overseeing electrical work
Strong troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair skills
Valid Ontario driver’s licence
Reliable transportation
Strong attention to safety, compliance and workmanship
Professional, dependable and organized
Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership to the electrical team
Responsibilities

As Solify’s Designated Master Electrician, you will support the company’s electrical and solar operations, including:

Acting as the company’s Designated Master Electrician
Providing oversight of electrical work performed by the company
Supporting compliance with ESA requirements and the Ontario Electrical Safety Code
Reviewing electrical installations and identifying compliance or safety concerns
Supporting residential and commercial solar/PV installations
Performing and/or overseeing electrical connections, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs
Supporting permit, inspection and ESA-related processes where required
Providing technical guidance to electricians, technicians and installation teams
Ensuring electrical work is completed safely and to applicable standards
Working with management and project teams to coordinate electrical requirements for solar installations

Licence Requirements

Ontario Master Electrician Licence – REQUIRED

Ability to serve as Designated Master Electrician (DME) – Required
