Domino’s Pizza is looking for a full-time, permanent Assistant Manager to join our restaurant team in Truro.

Position Details

- Position: Assistant Manager – Restaurant Operations
- Location: Truro, NS
- Wage: $23.00/hour
- Hours: 30–50 hours per week
- Employment: Full-time, permanent
- Start: As soon as possible
- Work: On-site
- Schedule: Days, evenings, weekends and holidays

About the Position

The Assistant Manager will help oversee the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and support the Restaurant Manager in maintaining a fast, efficient and customer-focused operation.

Responsibilities include:

- Supervising and coordinating employees during assigned shifts
- Assigning duties and ensuring appropriate staffing
- Training, coaching and supporting team members
- Monitoring food quality, preparation and customer service
- Ensuring food safety, sanitation and workplace safety procedures are followed
- Handling customer questions and service concerns
- Operating the POS and handling cash procedures
- Assisting with inventory and ordering
- Monitoring food, labour and operating costs
- Opening and closing the restaurant
- Completing closing procedures and securing the restaurant
- Assisting with scheduling and shift organization
- Supporting the Restaurant Manager with daily operational duties
- Ensuring Domino’s standards and procedures are followed

Requirements

- Previous restaurant or food-service experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to lead, train and motivate employees
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability and willingness to work approximately 3–5 overnight closing shifts per week, with closing duties typically completed around 2-5 a.m.
- Completion of secondary school
