Hi! My name is Amer, and I tutor math for students in Grades 1–12, economics at the high school and university levels, and university math and statistics for social science and business programs.

I can help students studying economics, sociology, psychology, political science, business administration, marketing, and related programs.

I’ve studied mechanical engineering, have a degree in economics, and am now studying statistics for sociology at the master’s level. I bring that background into lessons so students can see how the material actually gets used.

I don’t just teach “apply this formula.” I want students to understand why it works, usually through a concrete example first. Once that clicks, the formula stops feeling random.

I’ve tutored part-time for over 10 years and taught professionally full-time for five. I’m fully bilingual, so lessons can be in English or French.

Lessons are online. I write on an iPad with an Apple Pencil and share my screen, so students can follow each step in real time. They also work through exercises with my guidance.

The first lesson is free. We use it to meet, discuss your goals, and see where you need help. After that, lessons are $35 per hour for school students and $40 for university students.

Send me a message with your grade or university course and what you’re working on.
