I am posting this to see if I can muster up some community support for a person in need of firewood.
I sell honey at the rest stop at the Candle lake turn off so some of you will know who I am....I am from near Choiceland.
I met a man by the name of Ron...he lives I believe north and west of Meath Park...don't know his last name yet.
Unfortunately Ron was in Ontario and suffered a stroke, spent sometime in hospital but is at home now.
As I understand it talking to Ron he burns wood as his sole form of heat and needs about 8 cords of wood for his winter supply which he stores in his basement.
Ron is of course not feeling well and is fatigued and not feeling up to cutting wood and getting it into his basement and should likely not be doing that kind of hard work but working on recovery since it was not long ago that he suffered this health event.
I was wondering if there is anyone out there that would be willing and able to deliver firewood to Ron either blocked or in tree lengths(I would be willing to go cut it into blocks). And perhaps for those that don't have firewood but would like to help perhaps people could donate some cash to purchase wood for him.
This is kind of a shot in the dark but I am sending out this call for help...if we could get enough people and firewood together we could help Ron out and take the worry of getting his wood supply in when he is not feeling well.
