These two beautiful little girls are 9½ weeks old and ready to meet their families.
Yes, they are adorable. Yes, their colouring is extraordinary. For us what matters most is what happened during all the hours before the photograph was taken.
The first weeks of a puppy's life are an extraordinary period of neurological, social and emotional development. These puppies have not spent those weeks simply waiting in a pen to go home.
They have been busy experiencing life.
They have explored outdoors, played on grass, experienced household sounds and activities, interacted extensively with people, Mom and other dogs, encountered different surfaces and environments, and learned that new experiences can be safe and interesting.
THEIR EARLY FOUNDATION HAS INCLUDED:
• Extensive positive human handling and affection
• Outdoor exploration, nature, sunshine, sounds and smells
• Social learning with Mom and other dogs
• Exposure to different people, surfaces and environments
• Beginning toileting/pee-pad routines
• Introduction to crate comfort
• Following people and responding to the human voice
• Early name, recall and sit foundations
• Introduction to collar, harness and leash concepts
• Handling of paws, ears, mouth and body
• Brushing and grooming exposure
• Gentle redirection of puppy jumping, biting and nipping
• Age-appropriate independence
• Learning to settle after activity

EARLY NEUROLOGICAL STIMULATION
The puppies also completed Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), sometimes called the Bio Sensor or “Super Dog” program, during the early developmental period.

ENS uses brief, controlled sensory experiences during a specific early window. It is only one small piece of our approach. We believe the larger picture, thoughtful handling, socialization, enrichment, appropriate challenges, rest, nutrition and positive everyday experiences—is equally important.

A WHOLE-PUPPY APPROACH
We consider the whole developing puppy: nutrition, movement, sleep, human connection, emotional security, canine interaction, exploration and opportunities to experience the natural world.
Our adult dogs are raw fed, and the puppies have been introduced to a carefully managed fresh/raw diet during their transition from mother's milk.
Our goal is simple: give each puppy the strongest foundation we can before she ever leaves us.

• Mom is a registered Coton de Tulear with a wonderfully relaxed, affectionate temperament and is an exceptional mother
• Dad is a Poodle selected in part for his striking colour genetics and is Embark tested
• Beautiful, unusual colouring that will continue to develop as their coats mature
• Raised in-home with extensive enrichment and socialization
The Coton de Tulear is a relatively uncommon, affectionate, playful companion breed from the Bichon family, related to familiar little companion dogs such as the Maltese, Havanese and Bichon Frise.
THERAPY OR SERVICE POTENTIAL
One of the goals behind our breeding and developmental approach is to produce connected, people-oriented dogs with the potential to continue into therapy or appropriate service-related work.
No responsible breeder can promise what a 9½-week-old puppy will become—temperament and suitability continue to emerge with maturity and training. What we can do is give them a thoughtful developmental beginning.
