On the small side, this striking piece of antique radio and furniture is a 1930’s DeForest Crosley made in Toronto and often referred to as a "Tombstone Tall Grandfather Clock Radio”.

Unlike most vintage radios found in "as-is" or unrestored conditions, this unit has undergone professional-grade electronic and cosmetic restorations. It is completely safe to plug in, display, and enjoy immediately in your home.

Great for an office or hallway or any room really… it is striking to look at AND it works. Outside measurements are 13 x 59 x 12 wide. The wood is Walnut… the cabinet alone is a beautiful piece of furniture. The original plug in cord has been professionally checked and did not need replacing when the electronics where serviced, and adds to the character of the piece.

Blending classic Art Deco aesthetics with functional electronic engineering, this rare hybrid unit serves as both an elegant timepiece and a working AM tube radio. The original speaker grille cloth and unique pull-down hidden radio door are completely intact.

There is a wire antenna on the back outside edge of the cabinet…. If a more modern antenna is used, it will likely draw more stations. The hidden radio is highly unique because the cabinet mimics a classic grandfather clock. When you pull down the central drop-front panel (as shown in your photo), it reveals a hidden multi-tube AM radio complete with three period-accurate control knobs
