About the Role
We are looking for Customer Experience Associates to help provide excellent support, creative encouragement, and tailored advice to our clients.
This is a hands-on, people-centred role for someone who enjoys both the practical and the personal side of retail—supporting customers, handling materials with care, and contributing to a store environment that feels considered, calm, and alive with creative possibility.
What You Will Do
Create thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely supportive customer experiences
Help customers select fabrics, tools, and materials that align with their projects and goals
Maintain a store environment that is clean, organized, and visually intentional
Support preparation of sewing samples, kits, and cutting for customer orders
Assist with merchandising and product presentation to keep the store clear, inspiring, and easy to navigate
Contribute to behind-the-scenes tasks such as inventory support, data entry, and events planning

You bring both practical skill and a natural sense of care for detail.
You enjoy sewing, quilting, or garment-making and understand the mindset of makers
You are energized by helping people find clarity, confidence, and the right materials for their projects
You are comfortable working in a sales environment and meeting goals with professionalism and ease
You value an orderly, well-kept space and take pride in maintaining it
You are collaborative, steady, and willing to step into different parts of the store as needed

Experience & Requirements
Sewing experience in quilting, garment-making, or related textile work
Customer service and/or sales experience
Ability to lift or move up to 20 lbs (fabric bolts and supplies)
Confidence working in a retail environment with varied daily tasks
Comfortable working with numbers and measurements—from accurately cutting fabric by the metre to calculating purchases and handling cash with confidence

Hours & Availability
Part-time: 3 shifts per week (16-20 hours)
Availability required across weekdays and weekends, with flexibility for shift swapping and time off. Schedules are confirmed monthly.
Occasional additional shifts may be offered to support vacation or sick coverage.
Pay: $20/hour
