We are a professional property management company looking for a reliable, experienced Full-Time Handyman to join our team. The position involves general maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and preparing rental units at both residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repairs at residential and commercial properties
Drywall repairs, patching, painting, and touch-ups
Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
Repair doors, locks, cabinets, fixtures, and hardware
Caulking, trim, flooring, and other general repairs
Prepare rental units for new tenants
Complete preventative maintenance and respond to maintenance requests
Identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions
Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
Troubleshoot common appliances such as refrigerators and stoves
Basic troubleshooting of HVAC and boiler systems
Basic knowledge of small engines such as lawnmowers and trimmers
Determine when specialized service or a qualified contractor is required
Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
Maintain company tools and vehicle
Purchase or pick up materials as required
Requirements
Previous experience in handyman work, property maintenance, renovation, or construction
Strong knowledge of general building repairs and maintenance
Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
HVAC and boiler knowledge is an asset
Appliance repair/troubleshooting experience is an asset
Small-engine knowledge is an asset
Own tools required
Valid G Driver’s Licence
Personal vehicle is an asset
Ability to travel between commercial and residential properties
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Good communication and customer-service skills
Professional attitude and appearance
Physically able to perform property maintenance tasks
