Toronto Event Rentals Inc. is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse & Event Preparation Assistant to join our team during our busiest event season.

This is a temporary 4-week contract, starting as soon as possible, with the possibility of an extension depending on business needs, performance, and mutual fit.

About the Role

Toronto Event Rentals provides décor, furniture, and event equipment for weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, and other special events throughout the GTA.

We are currently looking for additional support in our warehouse to help our team prepare equipment for upcoming events, organize returned rentals, and keep our inventory ready for the next booking.

Key Responsibilities:

- Help prepare and organize rental items for upcoming events.
- Load and unload trucks at the loading docks.
- Clean, wipe, test, and assemble equipment before delivery.
- Unload returned equipment and place items back onto their designated storage racks.
- Perform light painting, touch-ups, and minor repairs.
- Assist with basic handy tasks, such as using drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, and other basic hand tools to assemble or repair rental equipment.
- Support event preparation, setup, and general logistics as needed.

Requirements
- Comfortable with lifting, carrying, loading, and moving event equipment.
- Comfortable using basic hand tools.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Must be available for part-time shifts, including some weekends depending on event requirements.
- Previous warehouse, event rental, moving, construction, maintenance, or general labour experience is an asset, but not required.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, and most shifts will be scheduled during the morning and daytime hours. However, some evening or weekend shifts may be required depending on event needs.

Typical shifts may include 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts such as 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
