Job Description
MPI is currently looking for an experienced Field Safety Advisor to join our dynamic team! This position requires excellent safety leadership and comprehensive expertise to ensure the health and safety of all employees on the job site.
In this role, you will be supporting projects primarily located north of La Corey and south Conklin, Alberta areas.
Skills You Bring
· Showcase the company safety program on projects by promoting a positive safety culture and safe work practices.
· Daily administration and management of the site HSE program, including reviewing, auditing, filing safety documentation, and compiling project stats.
· Assist in the development and implementation of the Site Emergency Response Plan and lead/participate in investigations into near misses and incidents.
· Establish and maintain positive project client-contractor safety relations.
· Post and maintain HSE bulletins, posters, rules, and regulations, and facilitate regular safety meetings.
· Verify employee training, maintain the employee training matrix, schedule/facilitate orientations, and verify subcontractor safety qualifications.
·Perform site inspections, oversee the site observation program, and conduct task observations to provide hands-on coaching.
· Assist supervision regarding safety requirements during task planning and assist with the development of safe work procedures and hazard assessments.
· Act as a resource for all safety-related inquiries.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for tracking statistics and data entry. Experience with HSE tracking software such as SiteDocs, ISNetworld, and ComplyWorks is an asset.
Job Requirements
· Experience: Minimum 5 years of safety advisor experience in oilfield construction, fabrication, or thermal facility maintenance.
· Credentials: Valid NCSO designation.
· Safety Certifications: Common Safety Orientation (CSO), H2S Alive, and Standard First Aid, clean drug and alcohol test, Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence
Shift & Logistics
· Schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off rotation with Camp.
· Hours: 12-hour days.
· Accommodations: Camp is provided.
