If you want tall, dark and handsome than MOOSE is for you!

MOOSE
8yr old grade quarter horse gelding
17HH (not officially sticked, could be taller)

I purchased him as a project but he will require more time and money that I am willing to invest.

What I know of his history - Moose was originally broke as a 2 yr old and has very minimal riding the past six years.

Unfortunately he had laminitis last year. His feet were very long when I purchsed him. After his first farrier visit to take off the length, he got very sore. It was like he was walking on platform shoes. We gave him a few weeks and then put on front shoes. While that helped, it didn't fix the problem. He was sound at a walk but nothing more. After seeing the vet, he was put on previcox and has been on it for the past week. I worked him for the first time today and he was finally sound at the trot and lope!

I have ridden him a couple of times and for being off for the past 6 years he is coming back into riding quite well.
He definitely needs more work with his feet, but if someone has the time and is willing to invest he will make a good horse. He rode off the yard today by himself. He has a huge stride. He has been ridden western and english.

Moose had his teeth done on August 26th.
