Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years of relevant hairstyling experience
Certification:
Hairstylist Trade Certification
Job Duties:
• Advise clients on beauty care treatments
• Book appointments
• Cut and trim hair according to clients' instructions and preferences
• Provide custom hair and scalp treatments
• Shampoo customers' hair
• Provide hair treatments including waving, straightening and tinting
• Provide scalp conditioning treatments
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
• Recommend hairstyles compatible with clients' physical features and preferences
Skills and Qualifications:
• Hairstylist Trade Certification
• Knowledge of hairstyling and colouring techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced salon environment
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
• Strong attention to detail
• Client-focused and dependable
• Good interpersonal skills
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team
