We have 4 beautiful female puppies looking for new homes. They are an amazing cross between a Redbone Coonhound and a Great Pyrenees.
What makes this mix so amazing?
First of all the energy levels of both breeds greatly compliment each other. Coonhounds are a high energy dog bred for hunting. Great Pyrenees are a more docile, calm dog bred for protecting livestock from predators. These puppies will be a mix between the wild and the calm, the energetic and the laid back. Not too boring, not to hyper.
Second, their fur is a beautiful practical length. The great pyrenees gives these puppies a bit of added warmth to their short coonhound coat without sacrificing the practicality of a short haired dog that requires little to no grooming.
We’ve owed and raised coonhounds for years and love the breed. They are loyal and affectionate and make great family dogs. Add that to the great pyrenees’s protective instincts and you have the perfect family dog. These puppies will be big, likely 70 lb, so a farm is definitely the best place for them. They will need lots of room to run as both breeds are known to wander. These puppies are used to being around farm animals of all sizes and will be a great addition to your farm or family.
