Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and clamp trucks to efficiently handle, move, and organize inventory within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and the ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting. The Forklift Operator plays a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Duties

Safely operate forklifts, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS) to fulfill customer orders
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and perform minor maintenance or report issues for repairs
Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and ensuring proper storage practices
Support warehouse management in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Use basic math skills to verify quantities and measurements during order processing
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during heavy lifting or equipment operation
Skills

Proven experience with warehouse distribution operations and equipment handling
Proficiency in operating forklift trucks, clamp trucks, and order pickers
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing
Strong understanding of order picking procedures and inventory organization
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and verifying orders
Excellent attention to safety standards and protocols to ensure a secure work environment
