NO MAINTENANCE, SOUND!!

17 yr old grade (quarter horse) mare

Julie is around 15hh (not sticked). She has one blue eye.

I bought her for my 13yr old daughter but she is too forward moving. Nothing out of control but she is a very dominant horse. She will take advantage of you if you let her. My daughter is not confident to push through.

Julie has been ridden both western and English but is more suited to western.

She has mainly been used for trails. I have taken her to one gymkahna and she does like to run.

Julie is good to trailer, stands for a bath and bug spray. She is easy to catch in a large pasture. Knows how to lunge and ground drive.

She had her teeth floated last week and it went well. She was good with needles.

She has a few vices;
She is buddy sour, it is definitely getting better and is able to go out alone, but sometimes leaving the yard is hard. She likes to back up and turn around. You have to push her through it and not let her win.

If I ride with my daughter than Julie is totally fine and goes along very willingly at a nice slow pace. By herself she is pretty quick.

The farrier is something she needs work with. She likes to kick out with her hind. You can touch her all over her back legs, but try to pick the hind up then she will pull away and kick. She is very impatient with the front. But you can do them.

She does not like my gelding. She is a very dominant mare and is top of the pecking order.
