EVENT LEAD CONTRACTOR – DELIVERY, SETUP & SUPPORT

Markham / GTA | Flexible Contract Work | $20/hour $0.73/km

CanadianEntertainers.ca is looking for reliable independent contractors to assist with event delivery, setup and onsite support throughout Markham and the GTA.

Assignments may include picking up equipment from our Markham location, delivering and setting up at the venue, acting as the onsite lead, assisting with the event, coordinating Helping Hands support contractors, completing teardown and returning equipment after the event.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Pick up and safely transport event equipment
Deliver, unload and set up equipment at the venue
Follow provided setup and event instructions
Act as the onsite lead when assigned
Meet and record the arrival of Helping Hands support contractors
Help direct contractors to their assigned duties
Stay onsite and work the event as required
Assist with or operate event stations
Interact professionally with clients and guests
Complete teardown and safely return equipment to our Markham location
Report any equipment, attendance or operational issues

PAY

$20 per hour $0.73/km for authorized business travel using your own vehicle

Paid time may include authorized pickup, loading, driving, setup, onsite event work, teardown and equipment return.

Assignments are offered based on upcoming event bookings. Hours are flexible and may include weekdays, evenings and weekends.

REQUIREMENTS

Valid Ontario driver's licence
Reliable personal vehicle suitable for transporting event equipment
Valid vehicle insurance
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable loading and unloading event equipment
Comfortable working with clients, guests and other contractors
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Smartphone for communication, directions and photos
Able to work independently and take responsibility for an assigned event

Applicants selected for screening will be asked to provide the year, make, model and type of vehicle they would use for assignments.
