Setting: Private Supported Living Home

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and energetic Full-Time Team Lead to oversee operations in a private supported living home. In this role, you will lead a small care team in providing high-quality support to individuals with special needs, helping them achieve their personal goals, maintain an active, positive presence in the community, manage their household and personal needs.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Training: Supervise, train, and motivate a small support team to ensure high standards of care and consistent goal execution.

Personal Plan Execution: Monitor staff performance and ensure individual support plans and daily goals are effectively implemented.

Community Engagement: Assist individuals in building a vibrant, active community presence through local outings, activities, and involvement.

Daily Support & Care: Provide hands-on assistance and support while maintaining a safe, structured, and compassionate environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience: Background in Special Education would be preferred but will consider anyone with a minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with special needs individuals.

Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing, mentoring, and organizing a small team.

Clearances & Licenses:

Valid driver’s license and access to your own reliable vehicle.

Current First Aid Certification.

Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills (must speak clear English to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and external agencies).

Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of performing all required care, support, and supervisory duties.

Tech Skills (Asset): Familiarity with computers and social media is a strong plus.

Rate of pay is $25 hour and $16.35 hour for sleepovers when needed to work them.
