Produce Manager/ Buyer
Responsible for the overall operation of the Produce department including sales, profitability, productivity, and its general appearance. Assists Store Manager at various times, deals with customers and with sales representatives from various companies and at the Ontario Food Terminal.
· Displaying Fruits and Vegetables to maintain freshness and create sales.
· Buying products through the Ontario Food Terminal
· Maximizes sales and profit objectives by implementing marketing and merchandising programs. Oversees merchandising displays, maintains product levels by stocking shelves and monitoring product inventory.
• Performs administrative duties including ordering product and producing sales, purchase and reports to manager.
• Maintains inventory levels by counting stock, ordering, and receiving product, and checking invoices.
• Provides customer service by responding to their inquiries and resolving issues.
• Maintains operating policies and procedures by reviewing, updating, and enforcing compliance with legislated requirements (e.g., Food Safety and Health & Safety), and help in training staff.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience:
