Description
This is a full time position during summer (40-60 hrs with overtime) and on-call snow removal position in winter, with minimum earning guarantee. Pay range is $22 to $26.50 /hr plus vacation pay, CPP/EI/WCB.

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our team as a Skilled Landscape Construction Worker and Snow Removal Operator. This is a hands-on position that combines landscaping/hardscaping work during the construction season with snow removal operations in winter. Responsibilities – Landscape Construction:
Prepare surfaces for landscaping and hardscaping projects (pavers, retaining walls, etc.) by digging with shovels or excavating with a Bobcat/skid steer. Strong understanding of levels, grades, limits, edging, and designs is required.
Finish grading by hand, using rakes to precisely shape dirt, clay, screened loam, and road crush to the elevations, depths, widths, slopes, and levelness required for the final landscaping.
Install landscape materials including edging, landscape fabric, mulch, and decorative rocks on finished surfaces.
Assist technicians with building and installing landscapes and hardscapes by performing secondary and support tasks.
Load, unload, and move materials from trucks and trailers.
Clean and organize the job site at the end of each day; properly store and maintain tools.
Perform basic equipment maintenance (greasing machines, filling diesel, etc.).
Keep the shop and tools clean and organized.

Responsibilities – Snow Removal:
Perform snow removal on sidewalks, driveways, and other areas using snow shovels, Gravely sweepers, or Bobcat/skid steer.
Prioritize safety at all times during all operations.


Schedule & Availability Requirements (Landscaping Season)
Be available to start as early as 7:00 a.m. and work until 7:00 p.m. when required.
Landscaping is fuill time 40 hours Expect a regular 6-day work week. Workdays may include Saturdays and Sundays, depending on project schedules, weather, and workload.
Be willing and able to work 10- to 12-hour days when required and stay until the job is completed.
Be flexible with workdays and days off. Weekend work may be required, with weekdays off when the schedule calls for it.
Be available to work additional weekend days when rain or other weather conditions disrupt the regular schedule.
Have reliable personal transportation to and from job sites.
Provide your own basic PPE, including steel-toe boots and work gloves.
Snow Removal Season — Schedule & Compensation

Minimum Monthly Earnings Guarantee: To provide greater income stability during the winter, employees who meet the required availability and work commitments will receive a minimum monthly earnings guarantee of $2,000 during the snow-removal season. Actual earnings may be higher during periods of significant snowfall and increased demand.

Snow removal is weather-dependent, so work hours and schedules can vary from week to week. Employees must be flexible and prepared to work extended hours when snowfall requires it.

Employees must be available for early-morning, evening, overnight, weekend and holiday work when snow removal is required.
Employees may be placed on call during periods of expected snowfall and must be able to report to work when required.
Work schedules may change with little notice based on snowfall, weather conditions, customer requirements and operational needs.
During significant snow events, employees may be required to work extended shifts and additional hours, subject to applicable employment standards and overtime requirements.
When called in and reporting for work, employees will be paid for their time worked in accordance with Alberta Employment Standards, including applicable minimum-pay and overtime requirements.
There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week. Some weeks may have little or no work if weather conditions do not require snow removal.
Employees should understand that snow removal is a seasonal, weather-driven position and requires considerable flexibility and availability.
