# Temporary Shipping & Moving Worker

### Position Summary

We are a local shipping and moving company looking for **reliable, hardworking Temporary Shipping & Moving Workers** to assist with packing, loading, unloading, moving household items, and services.

The successful candidate must be **physically capable, careful with furniture and customer belongings, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.**

### Key Responsibilities

* Safely lift, carry, load, unload, and deliver furniture, boxes, and other customer items.
* Lift and carry items weighing **up to 50 lbs.**; heavier or oversized items must be handled with appropriate team assistance.
* Carefully wrap and protect furniture and fragile items using moving blankets, stretch wrap, and other packing materials.
* Pack and secure items properly to prevent damage during transportation.
* Load and unload moving trucks in an organized and safe manner.
* Handle antique, luxury, fragile, and valuable furniture with exceptional care.
* Assist with basic furniture disassembly and reassembly when required.
* Follow delivery schedules and instructions from supervisors.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, truck, and equipment.
* Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
* Inspect items before and after moving to identify any damage or issues.
* Follow all company safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.

### Requirements

* Ability to repeatedly lift and carry **50 lbs.**
* Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, carrying, and climbing stairs as required.
* **Excellent attention to detail** and ability to handle furniture carefully.
* Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
* Able to follow instructions and work efficiently without constant supervision.
* Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team.
* Previous experience in moving, shipping, warehouse, delivery, or other physical work is an asset.
* Valid driver's licence is an asset but not required.
* Legally eligible to work in Canada.

**Pay:** $20-25/hr depends on experience
