A1 Cleaners Halifax is growing, and we're looking for 2 new Home Care & Cleaning Specialists to join our team.

We provide premium residential cleaning, Airbnb turnovers, property care and interior styling services throughout HRM.

You don't need years of professional cleaning experience to succeed here.

We've developed simple, highly organized cleaning protocols, digital checklists and quality-control systems that take the guesswork out of the job. You'll be trained on exactly what our standard looks like, how to achieve it efficiently, and how to check your own work before leaving a property.

If you're someone who takes pride in doing things well, has an eye for detail and genuinely wants to perform well, we've built a system that makes it easy to succeed.

The Role

This isn't just about cleaning.

Our specialists are responsible for the overall cleanliness, presentation and feel of a space.

Depending on the property, your day could include:

- Residential cleaning
- Airbnb and short-term rental turnovers
- Deep cleans and move-outs
- Preparing properties for incoming guests
- Making beds and beautifully resetting rooms
- Light staging and interior styling
- Organizing and thoughtfully arranging spaces
- Restocking and presenting guest amenities
- Noticing when décor, furniture or finishing details could be improved
- Completing our digital quality-control checklist and property photos

An interest in interior design, home decor, organization or styling is a major asset.

You don't need to be an interior designer — but you should be the kind of person who notices when a pillow is crooked, a room feels unfinished, or moving something six inches would make the whole space look better.

One of the biggest differences at A1 is our system.

You won't be sent into a property and expected to figure everything out yourself.

We use clear cleaning protocols, property-specific instructions, digital checklists and photo-based quality control so you always know what's expected.

Our systems are designed to help you:

- Work efficiently without cutting corners
- Know exactly what needs to be completed
- Build a consistent routine
- Catch small details before you leave
- Work confidently without constant supervision

Once trained, you'll typically work independently or alongside one partner, rather than in a large cleaning crew.

We want our team to have autonomy while still having the structure and support needed to succeed.

Schedule & Compensation

$25/hour to start. Increase in wages available
Mileage compensation for eligible travel between jobs

We're currently looking for approximately 25–35 hours per week, with flexibility depending on your availability and our booking schedule.

Our work takes place primarily during the daytime, and schedules can vary from week to week.

Weekend availability is especially valuable.

Our Airbnb and short-term rental properties operate seven days a week, so we're specifically interested in adding people who are happy to take on Saturday and/or Sunday work.

What You'll Need

- Your own reliable vehicle
- A valid driver's licence
- Ability to travel between properties throughout HRM
- A smartphone
- Physical ability to perform cleaning work
- Reliable daytime availability
- Some weekend availability is strongly preferred
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada
