My name is Chris Friesen. I’m a multi - instrumentalist and songwriter with over ten years of teaching experience offering innovative guitar lessons in Winnipeg.

I believe that music is a language, and like any language it is learned best through creativity and exploration.

My aim is always to teach while keeping my student’s musical freedom intact. As a guitar teacher I try to give my students the tools and understanding needed to teach themselves. My ultimate goal is to nurture the artist in every student.

If you're a total beginner I can help you get off to the best start possible. If you've been playing for years but want to deepen your understanding of music, I can help!

I offer lessons out of my home studio, located in the Central St. Boniface Neighbourhood, or I can come to you to teach lessons! In addition to guitar I also teach banjo, electric bass, and ukulele. I teach children as young as 6.

I also offer small group guitar lessons for beginners, which are much more affordable, and can be more fun as well!

I have open availability during the day on weekdays, so if you're retired or work shift work we can find a convenient time for lessons!

In-Studio Lessons
60 minutes - $45
30 minutes - $30

For lessons at your home I charge a travel fee of $20, which covers travel time, fuel costs, etc...
