We are looking for an energetic, reliable, hard working Tire Technician to support our busy shop during our peak seasons. In this role, you will be the backbone of our seasonal rush, keeping our community safe by installing, balancing, and repairing passenger and light truck tires. This position is ideal for an efficient worker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in high-quality mechanical support.

Position Overview

Job Type: Tire Technician

Full-Time/Permanent Seasonal (Spring and Fall rush focus)

Location: 2904 43rd Ave, Vernon, BC V1T 3L6

Company: Vernon Tireland Ltd

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Day shift, including rotating Saturdays


Key Responsibilities:

Lift heavy objects and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Perform seasonal tire swaps, changeovers, and rotations.
Inspect, mount, balance, and repair tires for cars, SUVs, and light trucks.
Safely operate air tools, hydraulic jacks, and tire changers.
Identify tire wear patterns and assess structural damage.
Perform puncture repairs safely using industry-standard methods.
Ensure accurate torque specifications on all wheel assemblies.
Maintain an organized, clean, efficient, and safe shop environment.


Qualifications:

Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
Clean commercial driving record abstract.
Experience with automotive tire service.
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
Strong attention to safety protocols.
Reliable team player with punctuality.
Clear verbal communication in English.
Strong commitment to good customer service.
